The Bagatti Valsecchi Brothers

Once inside, in the halls of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum we will get to know the passions of two brothers, passionate about art, sports and hunting and assiduous frequenters of social life: brothers Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi, collectors, superb connoisseurs and enthusiasts of the 19th century. It was they who set up the foundation that made public the present Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, a splendid house-museum full of works of art of the highest value.

The wonderful rooms hold works acquired through intense relationships with art dealers of the time. A particular passion for the early 16th century animated Giuseppe, who succeeded in winning Giovanni Bellini’s splendid Santa Giustina, along with works by Bernardino Zenale and Giampietrino… The museum’s rooms also hold fine furnishings: ancient caskets and period clocks, armor with a medieval flavor and scientific instruments among the most unlikely… you will not know where to rest your gaze and only thanks to the narration of our guides can you discover the most precious treasures preserved within the walls of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, moving from room to room.
